Ladys Last Word
This cocktail is a twist on the classic Last Word cocktail. I swapped out maraschino liqueur for blueberry liqueur and lime for lemon. Maraschino is like a sour cherry liqueur with hints of almonds. I've noticed that it doesn't always tickle the taste buds of the ladies. Blueberries, though, they do the trick. Kinda. Lemons keep that fruity flavor going from the first sip to the last. We can only guess if the lady drinks this cocktail feels just a little buzzed.

Instead of Maraschino, I used cherry bitters and added a fruity sweetness to the drink with grapefruit syrup. Lime juice accentuates the flavors of grapefruit and cherry more distinctly.

As a sweet/sour balance I made a blackberry balsamic syrup and some lemon to tie it all together.
